Baker Mayfield has established himself as the franchise quarterback the Browns have been lacking since returning to Cleveland in 1999. He set a rookie record for touchdown passes finished with a total of 3,725 passing yards and a QB rating of 93.1. He was a close runner-up to Saquon Barkley as NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and named Cleveland Sports Awards Athlete of the Year.

John Dorsey has proven in a short time that he has the ability to find talent and rebuild a team through the Draft and free agency. His draft choices Myles Garrett, Nick Chubb and Denzel Ward in particular have greatly improved the team. This offseason he has draft choices including the 17th overall pick and lots of cap space to use for free agent signings. Both NFL veterans and college draftees are now expressing an interest in coming to play in Cleveland and wanting to be a part of this exciting transformation. This team is not only suddenly competitive but very exciting to watch, especially with the play of Baker Mayfield.

Dorsey has also replaced the entire coaching staff and the new head coach has demonstrated an ability to creatively use the talents of Baker Mayfield. With a year of additional experience and training, the possibility for even more exciting football from the Browns is on the horizon.

Throughout the upcoming season, we will be following the team closely and highlighting the “Mayhem” that Baker Mayfield will be unleashing on opponents. With the current offensive weapons and hopefully new additions through trades, the draft and free agent signings, the Browns offense will be even more dynamic during the 2019 path to the first playoff appearance since 2002. With great anticipation, Browns fans are looking forward to the 2019 NFL Draft in late April, training camps in July, the preseason and opening week of the regular season in early September.
